ALTARA was formed in June 2003, as a Professional Radio Telecommunications Solutions Supplier in South Africa. We focus on Professional End-users for the supply of Integrated Communication Solutions.

Altara has a joint venture partnership in place with Verstay (Pty) Ltd as well as existing business relationships with various brands such as Sepura, Leonardo, Panorama Antennas, and Hytera; which facilitates access to Strong Systems Engineering and Software Development and highly experienced people.
We can therefore provide Management Services across a wide portfolio of Professional Mobile Radio (PMR), and into the Higher Technology Markets of PMR/IT Integration (TETRA, DMR 2 & 3), HF, Air-Traffic Control, Marine Traffic Control, and the emerging technologies around Public Safety Security and Homeland Defense.
